A fractal flower pattern that looked, smelled, and tasted wonderful. ;-)
A ladyslipper flower that I get to see once a year. This particular type is rare and found in few wooded areas around here. I know where there are a few great patches of them, but I’ll never tell. ;-)
Reworking some recent Poppy photos, trying to do something a bit different with the black and white conversion. It turned out a bit gloomy but I like the contrast and details.
The poppies are already shedding their petals after a day or two of being in bloom.
Poppies are in full bloom right now, and very large blooms at that. I am hoping to shoot them a bit more over the next few days.
Had a great bike ride today, brought the camera along just in case something came up worth shooting. When I saw these sprouts on the trees, I had an idea as to what I’d like the final photo to look like, though it would (and did) take a bit of post-processing to get the desired result.
What started out as an attempt at the Photochallenge for May, turned into this. I am really bad at “theme shooting” and realized that if I started the May challenge, I probably wouldn’t have been able to follow through with it. I’ve also been a bit busy, so that didn’t help either.
Maybe next month.
