Ringer
Some sort of tether(?) ring at Fort Taber, an old military fort in New Bedford, Massachusetts. I am not sure of their use, but they are about 8-10″ round and solid. The weight of them being bumped against the stone they are attached to has worn away at it, leaving a ring-shaped channel that looks as though it were chiseled out of the stone. I don’t know as much about this fort as I probably should, and judging by the amount of vandalism in some spots, neither do a lot of other people.
Show and tell…
Last of the flowers for now, I promise. Though I did have fun shooting them, and I learned a few new methods for lighting them for different moods and looks. The Daffodils are on the way out now, and the Tulips and Poppies are just around the corner, so I can’t promise that some “other” types of flowers won’t show up here in the near future.
Shadows and Light
Something I’ve been wanting to experiment with for a little bit, but didn’t have a good subject in mind. It rained pretty heavily this morning and when I stepped out for the mail, I noticed that not only were the daffodils up, and spring-shower-fresh, but also that they would probably make a good test subject. The style needs some work, but it gives me a few ideas of what kind of results I can get out of it.
